The brand is best known for its honey-infused products, especially the hair care line, which is formulated with honey from the owner's Mirsalehi family’s bee garden. Gisou’s Honey-infused Lip Oil became a viral sensation all over social media because of its unique formula and chic packaging. The product is infused with Mirsalehi honey and hyaluronic acid, providing a deep nourishing and moisturizing effect. The lip oil has a smooth, non-sticky texture that feels lightweight on the lips. The oil feels silky and doesn’t feel greasy, having a plumping effect. The finish is glossy with a subtle natural shine. The packaging is elegant and unique. It has a sleek curvy tube with a soft flat doe foot applicator, perfect for your purse.
The little boy has decent longevity, lasting around 3 to 4 hours before needing reapplication. While the lips feel hydrated, the glossiness does fade away, and you would have to reapply if you want to maintain the shine. It is marketed as a luxury product with a price tag of $28. While it does deliver its main focus, other products on the market are better. Overall, the product's pros are that it's hydrating due to its honey and hyaluronic acid that work well together to keep the lips moisturized, and it has a nonsticky formula, unlike other oils; it doesn't feel tacky; its natural ingredients are perfect for people looking for clean products. Cons of this product include the slightly high price tag compared to what you're getting, not lasting long enough compared to other lip oils, and the limit of its colors because it does come mostly in clear, but they have recently launched new colors that have light pigment. I would rate the Gisou honey-infused lip oil a B tier; I think it's overhyped due to social media.
